Court fee for a partition suit in Goa is not on the total value of the property but only on the market value of the plaintiff's undivided share. This is provided under Section 19(vi) of the Court Fees Act, 1870 (as amended by Goa Act 14 of 2020). The same progressive slab rates under Schedule I, Article 1(c) apply to the share value.

How is the court fee calculated?

Identify the total market value of the property to be partitioned (use the current circle rate as the minimum reference for immovable property).
Calculate the plaintiff's fractional share: e.g., 1/3rd share in a ₹9,00,000 property = ₹3,00,000.
